The Tuning capacitor bearings get a spray of cleaner and a careful application of oil,
the tuning knob shaft and the dial pointer hub both get oiled, being careful not to get
oil on the dial cord which would cause it to slip. This made the tuning knob much easier to turn.
A quick check of the dial bulbs with a battery showed that they were all good. Replacement bulbs
are plentiful and cheap if one burns out in the future.
